sweat pimples!!
It's gotta be sweat pimples. My face over the last couple of weeks feels like Sh**. I have all these rough little bumps over my forehead which are obviously teeny tiny pimples that never develop into real pimples, it's really bugging me. I have just got back from the gym after my 1 hour weights workout and 55 mins cardio and I decided to put on a mask before I even attempt to have a shower, so you can now get the mental picture of what I look like while I'm typing this.
Training was good, I went up a little in my bench press and flyes so happy with that, although I must admit when I finished with the weights I was slightly buggered and it would have been easy to skip the cardio component, but I knew in my heart I would regret it later, so little ole cardio bunny me tackled and finished it. I had my brekky before gym this morning and as I didn't have time to cook my usual egg white/tuna/veg omellete I had oats with protein powder.
We went out for dinner last night to Airirang, its a Korean bbq restaurant in the city. It was really yummy and very healthy. The meat is sliced really thinly and you have a bbq plate in the middle of your table where you cook it yourself. The idea is to grab a lettuce leaf put some of the various side dishes in it (zucchini, onion, sprouts, cabbage), put some of the meat into it followed by some rice, roll it all up and dip in the sauce. MMMMMM!!
We have a 30th tonight so the plan is to be as good as possible but I am also looking at it as a free night aswell as I don't get to see my friend very much. I know she will have some healthy food there (aswell as the bad) so I will indulge in the healthy food and perhaps have a couple of drinks, and then back to being good for the rest of the week. Time to go and wash this mask off now!

I feel good, da na na na na
Yep that is what I am singing. Just had a quick read of everyone's posts and it looks like everyone is pumped and doing really well. Diet has been good today, in fact just about to cook tea, steak and soup, its just a red tomato and lentil soup so that will be my veggie portion to go with the steak, although now coming to think of it I kind of feel like salad. Who knows.
Met up for our weekly coffee with Rae yesterday and she is looking really good, I can't wait to see her up on stage:) plus she made me feel really good about myself as always. When I was at the gym this morning I noticed my 6 pack is starting to show. I can't see it at any other time like when I get out of the shower but for some reason can see it when I'm working out at the gym, so all I need to do is lean up a little more and bingo, there will be my 6 pack!!! I really need a new program though so hopefully I can get one in the next week or so, I need to keep making improvements and to do that it means I need a new program, it also stops the boredom from setting in.
I am really looking forward to sitting in front the box tonight I just have to watch the biggest loser finale, I've already told hubby that I have blocked those 2 hours out to do that, and the best bit is all I need to do after dinner tonight is cook my omelette for brekky as everything else is already done!!

Another day off...........
Work that is. Getting quite use to having the time off. Got up this morning and did my weights training. For some reason I think I have done something to my shoulder, it seems to be quite sore when I train and is also clicking out of its joint, so I went very very light on the shoulder today.
Just thought I would have something different for brekkie this morning, unfortunatley I am one of those people who gets bored with the same thing day in and day out and if I am not careful this can be my downfall, so I made myself some pancakes using oats and egg whites. Yummo!! I did have a slip up last night. I think it is the time of the month and the plan just didn't cut it yesterday. All was going well until after dinner, yep, after dinner I had 2 ferro rochers, some grapes, went to see a movie and came home and had 2 pieces of toast with jam. What is wrong with me? My training is always up to speed but I just can't seem to be consistent with my nutrition plan. I stick to it 95% but then I will pick at grapes or pick at something else, it's like it has to do with my taste buds more than being hungry. Anyway last night I put it down to the time of the month, I was just dying for some carbs!
Not sure what is planned for today, may end up going for a powerwalk on the treddie in addition to the weights I have just done. See what happens.

WHOOOH - ON FIRE!!!
WOW, what a work out!! and what a great start to the day. I am definatley on fire today. Got up had some chicken, brocoli and brussel sprouts for brekkie (couldn't be bothered cooking my usual egg white and veg omelette) and then headed to the gym for an hour weights and 55mins cardio session and definatley had a great workout. Probably had something to do with the huge chicken ceasar salad I had last night, but I also feel as if something has clicked with me overnight and I have woken up with a better focus and clearer goals and this is mainly to do with my eating not my training as my training is 100%.
I am also really looking forward to going and see Rae in the comp on May 20th so I am hoping I can make some small change in that short time. There will be lot of obstacles this month, I have 2 30ths to go to, my 1st wedding anniversary which I can say now I will not be good, we will be going out for dinner at the same place we had our reception and whilst I will not go completely silly I will not be holding back and will be having a 2 or 3 course meal and some wine. I also have a work dinner next week which is 3 courses, I won't be having dessert or wine so will try and be as good as I can, and I also have a 3-day work conference in Sydney at the beginning of May, so as you can see some good hurdles coming my way, but I will try and make the best and do the best out of these situations I can. I know Sydney will be hard as we are staying in a hotel and our days are planned as well as catered for.
Enough rambling from me, bette go and have a shower and freshen up after the sweaty workout I just had.

Comp - May 20th
Anybody in Perth going to the comp on May 20th. I am going to support Rae however I would love some company. My gorgeous husband isn't really into this sort of thing and I would rather not drag him along otherwise I may have to put up with him wanting to go home, so if anyone is interested let me know otherwise I will just mosey on down all on my lonesome!!
Training has been good got as per previous post did a double session on Monday, cardio and weights, weights again on Tuesday and a spin class this morning. Tomorrow will be weights again, Friday spin at home (have to be at work early for a meeting so can't go to the gym) and Saturday weights. Sunday should be rest day but will probably go to the gym for another bout of cardio, just can't resist and besides it makes me feel great!!
I feel like I am coming down with the dreaded cold again, so cross my fingers I'm not, it just seems like everyone keeps getting it and it is going around in one big circle. I caught up with Rae for a coffee at lunch time which is always good and something I always look forward to although it always goes to fast.

Monday 16th
Got up at 8.30am and headed to the gym for a double wammie. Did 55mins of cardio and my 1 hour weights workout. I am so glad I could double up today as that means I don't need to double up on Saturday. I was so hungry when I got home though so made myself a nice lunch and just felt pleased with myself that I have accomplished all my training over the long weekend. I wish I didn't have to work so I could train every morning the same and didn't have to worry about going to work. It just gets so hard sometimes and so draining trying to fit in work - notice how I said trying to fit in work, not trying to fit in training. It's funny, every time I have gone for a new job, I always consider the gym factor, if I can't fit my training in I won't take the job!!
Had a nice arvo walking around Freo with hubby watching all the street performers - it was the Freo festival. We had a coffee (hubby also had a banana and nutella crepe, it looked delicious), I'm just about to do a roast chicken - the one's that now come in a bag so all you have to do is literally put it in the oven, bag and all. I am going to do some healthy roast pumpkin for a changed plus my normal salad. I am so looking forward to it!!
Hope everyone had a good long weekend!! I think I can get used to this - work? What is that?

Good Friday
Hubby is working and I planned a sleepin. Didn't happen. I guess when you are used to such early mornings it gets quite hard to sleep in. Gym is closed so I have to find the motivation to either do a spin class at home or powerwalk on the treddie. I think the spin class is looking good.
I have just finished eating my chicken and veg omelette whilst reading everyone's blog. My most favourite morning ritual!! What is on the board for today you ask? Unfortunatly house work and then I have my brother, wife and kids coming over for dinner. Fish for us women, steak for the boys, fish fingers for the kids, salad of course, bread rolls for everyone except me. Wine! may have 1 not sure yet. Plan for tomorrow was weights and cardio. Gym closes at 12 and hubby has informed me that we have a guy coming over to rip down the shed at 8am, he is working so I have to be here. That has totally buggered up my gym. I am thinking of getting up early and doing spin at home or treddie, then depending on what time he leaves hitting the gym. I really hope he isn't longer than an hour otherwise I will miss out on my session as I have a doctors appointment at 10.30 to see if they can figure out why I am so bloated all the time and why I am still not getting my periods. I hate it when I get out of routine and especially when the gym uses any excuse to close early or not open at all!
Rae thanks for your comment, I am going to kinda mix it all up, basically probably just adding some beans into my lunchtime salad, or having a veggie soup here and there but mainly sticking to what I am doing. I'm kinda hooked on my morning omelettes. See you for coffee next week! although if you end up not doing much Saturday afternoon send me a text and we can catch up then.

Long weekend here I come
I am so looking forward to this weekend. The gym is closed Friday so I am going to take the opportunity for a long awaited sleep in and just take the day as it comes. I will probably do a spin class at home at some stage or maybe a powerwalk on my treddie, I do also need to do some housework but will take it in my stride. My brother and sister in law are coming over for dinner, not sure what I am going to cook yet.
Still very bloated, I have especially noticed in being after lunch, my fish and salad, who knows. I am reading a book at the moment called the F2 diet. It's very interesting and is based basically around plant foods, fruits and wholegrains, very little meat. The idea being high in fibre to promote good bacteria in your colon. I am seriously thinking about shaking things up a little and giving it a go. I have been on a high protein low carb diet for such a long time and am getting quite sick of eating meat even chicken so will see how I go. I don't want to put on weight and do want to stay lean but I guess at the end of the day nutrition is a big learning curve. It always worries me as my dad has bowel cancel and my grandfather and aunty also passed away from it, so we do need to look after ourselves and eat the most nutritious foods available.
Training is still going well, although I have a bad feeling I am going to miss on a weights workout, simply with the gym being shut on Friday which is my normal weights day. As mentioned I will substitue and at the very least do a cardio session, double up on Saturday which I normally do with a weights and cardio session, but I don't think I can double up on Sunday as I have a brunch to go to and our silly gym doesn't open until 9am. A bit stupid if you ask me. What is wrong with opening at 7am?
We are having a little easter lunch at work tomorrow, thank god someone decided to do something healthy, chicken and salad, got to be happy with that, at least I don't have to make my own lunch for once.

Training however has been spot on. Nutrition back on track tomorrow, I have prepared all my meals, dosed up with lemsip and most of the unpacking has been done.
Thanks for your comment Rae, I really think its all my hormones up and down, it can't be anything I'm eating as my diet is mainly veg and protein, bloody body. I will get a notebook though and start writing down what I eat each day and how I am feeling then at least I have some sort of tracking.
Better go now, can't see very well through my watery eyes. Will have to catch up on blogs another time.

Bloated
I don't know why this always happens to me and its not just a little bit of bloating, but I get bloated to the point of looking about 4 months pregnant. I am sitting here at work with my pants undone, and I feel terrible. Why? What could be causing this? Is it perhaps because after coming off the pill a year ago I still haven't got my period and my body is trying to regulate itself, or is it something I could be eating. My diet is basically protein and veg or salad, actually mainly salad. When I was in Melbourne last week and wasn't being pedantic about my diet I didn't get bloated. Any suggestions? I am very uncomfortable.
Had an awesome weights workout this morning. Still managed to cook my omelette in my omelette maker even though we moved into the new house yesterday and everything is in boxes. Sometimes I don't know how I do it. Also managed to whip up a quick salad with sardines for lunch and my veggies and tuna for morning and arvo tea. Dinner will be steak and more salad.

Moving house
Yep, moving house today. Managed to prepare all my meals last night for today, but god I think I will be over salmon after today. Had it for brekky, lunch and will be having it for dinner. All I had in the pantry I'm afraid.
Hubby has just informed me we won't have our computer up and running for a couple of weeks, so I was really freaked out about that, all I could think about was how I am going to read everyone's blog and how am I going to update mine. I will have to try and sneak in a few at work (like now).
Training on track, did a spin class today and did weights yesterday and food is going well apart from the salmon today but it could be worse!! Last night I had rabbit, think I can take that or leave it!
I had coffee with Rae yesterday, it is always good catching up with Rae, I always look forward to our little chats. Anyway better fly and get back to work, I want to try and leave a bit early so I can go home and organise the house.
Back from Melbourne
Just got back from Melbourne and the first thing I did was to try and catch up on posts, although only briefly. Busy week ahead back to work tomorrow and moving house at the same time. I did manage to powerwalk every day except today whilst I was away so happy about that, but food was all over the place. I ate good where possible but did have a few drinks here and there and also dessert at the wedding, however back to it tomorrow and I am going back on coaches programs and see where I go from there.
Better fly now but will be back tomorrow.
